In the Morning, Batheaston

Batheaston, 2016

A well-known photographic adage is “the best camera, is the one you have with you”.

On this occasion, as I walked to Bath on a fairly chilly Autumn morning, I only had my iphone with me – so it is what I used to take this picture.

When I look at photos, I’m looking for signs of the photographer, tapping at the keys, turning the drama to 10. If you’ve ever seen Ansel Adam’s “Moonlight over Hernandez” (I think it is spelt like that), you can hear him clanking away in the background, bringing in the sky and shadows. But it is a lovely image. I think his best selling one – so perhaps that’s ok.

This is pretty much how it looked.
