Boys in Blue, Bangkok

I haven’t posted in a while, so I thought I would write about a couple of old photos. One of the magical things about being young, is how there always seems to be time to “fit things in”.

Waiting for the Train, Bangkok, October 2010

At the time, I was working in Ho Chi Minh City, but I found that if I left work very promptly and caught the first taxi I saw, I could squeeze in a weekend away somewhere – in this case – in Bangkok.

Posing on the Platform, Bangkok 2010

Anyway, as I remember it these two young men were Americans – and I think they were on their way to a party. So I asked them to give me a pose – which they did!

Two Trees, West Sussex

Backlit Trees, West Sussex, May 2020

Because of restrictions, I find myself walking in the same places most of the time. Everytime I pass these two trees, they feel like a contrasting pair.

Although it is early summer, as you can see with the dew on the grass, early in the morning, it is still cool.

Boys in Blue – Bangkok, 2010

Boys in Blue, Bangkok 2010

Sometimes you look for pictures: sometimes they come to you.

At the last minute, I had flown over to Bangkok to take a session with Gavin Goff (a noted travel photographer). I believe I was with him waiting on the platform of the metro when we met these young men. Much like supermarkets on Sundays, if you wait long enough everyone will pass. I’m not quite sure what they were up to – but they appeared to be having fun.
