Another sunset photo. I really like trees and the interesting shadows which they cast. In this case it is from the the sunset. Part of me want to crop this to square with the tree in the middle – but I haven’t. I wonder what the soundtrack might be.?
As you can see, this another view of the park which I have been walking around all these weeks. When I first started walking in the morning and evening, I was mostly alone, but now I regularly have to leave the path to allow other people to pass. I’m writing this on a Thursday evening, knowing that on Monday all the shops in Horsham will open for the first time in almost 3 months. Will it be teaming with people or will they all stay away?
Whether through design or cirumstance, seem to be photographing sunsets lately. In the UK, we have had sunshine for most of the lockdown period, which has made for some golden sunsets (see above).
I’m wondering if the air is a little clearer because there are fewer cars on the roads – in the evening, there is very little traffic these days – bicycles seem to be the most popular form of transport.
I don’t know when lockdown will end – could be June- but I have the feeling it may be a while, I am looking forward to pictures of people, but I think I will miss quiet walks and clear skies.
It rains quite often in Shanghai. Almost like clearing your throat before you move on to another subject in a conversation. On this occasion I had just acquired a “new to me” Mamiya VI dating from the early 1950s and was wandering the streets looking for pictures to try it out. One of the nice things about using digital is the almost bottomless high ISO you can get compared to with film. This was taken as the light faded to twilight – people were going home, when the heavens opened and it began to rain. Women tried various tricks to try to keep themselves dry: I was just trying to protect the bellows on the camera (bad things happen if they get wet).
I like the colours in the picture and the way you can feel that it late afternoon and will soon be evening.
